FARHO Applications

Using electric heating was always viewed as an expensive option compared to other methods. Electricity was also viewed as less ecologically friendly. Then came storage heaters and cheaper overnight electricity, using capacity that was otherwise still generated but went unused. This was a step forward and made electric heating far more competitive. But now, with the development of the Farho radiators and electricity being generated more and more from renewable sources, electric heating has entered a new age.

Example Usage
Using the XANA Plus radiators from Farho, each room in a building can have it's own 24 hour programme, having a different temperature, if required, for each hour of the day. Realistically, most rooms have 1 or 2 periods of use during the day and the rest of the time they remain unoccupied. With the Xana Plus, we can build a scenario where an office is open 5 days a week, but closes early on Friday. The office opens at 9 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Therefore, we would probably have the programming of the Xana Plus set to something like the example shown.
As can be demonstrated by the previous programme, the system is extremely flexible, convenient and efficient. This office is only heated when in use and is kept at a safe ambient temperature when not. The advantage of the Farho system is that the state of the art digital thermostat will ensure that the heater is only working when the temperature drops below the value set in the programme, therefore not using power when up to temperature. This means that you can leave the system enabled throughout the year without the worry of wasting power, as the system will only come on on the really cold days, when you want the office to be warmer anyway.
This represents one room, this can be set for all rooms in a building where Farho radiators are installed, each one having it's own programme dependant upon the occupation of the room in question.

UC Control Unit
Using the optional UC Control Unit, which is a wireless controller for the Xana Plus radiators, you can set these programmes remotely for each radiator in the network. The added advantage of the UC Control Unit is that with the addition of a GPRS SIM, the programming can be changed from anywhere in the world where you have access to the cellular network. So by sending an SMS text message to the UC Control Unit to change the programme of the radiators in the network. So if the office is closed for some reason, you can turn down the temperature or if you wish to go in to catch up on work on a weekend and the weather for example is very cold you can get the system to increase the temperature in the rooms you wish to use to your preferred temperature so that by the time you arrive, the offices will be warm.
